Health Supplements – Part II: Super Supplements and Specific Supplements
Super Supplements (Table 2) are not essential for optimal health, but help most people to enhance their capacity. Co-enzyme Q10 helps restore vitamins C and E. It helps the body burn calories and bind free radicals, preventing damage to the DNA. Carnosine can prolong the lifespan of cells within cell cultures and rejuvenate those cells responsible for aging.
It prevents amylopeptide from accumulating from waste products. Amylopeptides are involved in the development of disease processes in Alzheimer's and Diabetes 2. Resveratrol protects cells from free radical damage. (2) (4) (5) (6)
Specific dietary supplements (Table 3) can help prevent certain diseases. In general, they are not necessary to maintain or improve health, but are used for therapeutic purposes. (2) Table 3 exemplifies some specific dietary supplements and their recommended dose.
Lycopene and Saw Palmetto extract help preventatively against prostate diseases, garlic extract and arginine prevent heart disease and high blood pressure and lutein supports the eye health. Inosol-3-Carbinol prevents both prostate and breast cancer.
Supplements at ENKI Institute
The vital substances are found in the form of dragees, powders, tablets, capsules and fleas. Our manufacturers offer us certified ingredients to provide our customers with optimal purity, quality and high concentration of the products. We focus on manufacturers who produce their goods according to certified study results and to international GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
Then, each product must be independently controlled again. We select our products globally according to these criteria. At ENKI, we have had very good experiences with American products, as the strong competition between the companies there seems to lead to their own prescribed quality evidence.
The body needs a minimum supply of vitamins, minerals and trace elements every day. It makes sense to take dietary supplements so that the daily requirement is optimally met. General intake recommendations can be found on the product descriptions. However, since every person's metabolism is very individual, we recommend a targeted intake of dietary supplements that is tailored to the individual’s respective measurements. Only this can ensure an optimal effect.
